It’s A’Muse’ Me Monday again. I love doing this meme because it challenges me to think plus allows me to play and be creative.

Fact: What is one thing you’d really like to accomplish in 2008? Will you do it?
I’d really like to enter Midnight Ride in the Genesis contest this year. Will I do it? I’m getting it ready and then praying money comes in for the entrance fee on time. I hope it works out.

Fiction: Use these five words in a scene or poem – fresh, summer, hope, power, river

Winter blues wrap
around the mind
tugging the soul
down into despair

But spring dawns
a fresh hope
that summer‘s kiss
will soon brush my lips

I feel the power
of sunshine’s touch
bursting through me
a river of life
from God

One of my goals for this year is to write more poetry. I am really enjoying the challenge. What’s really cool is that I found out this morning I’m a finalist for the Most Evocative Haiku for the Haiku Buckaroo contest over on My Mommy’s Place. My entries can be found here and here.
