Broken.
That’s me.
But I’ve learned to embrace this brokenness.
How can I not? It’s here among the pieces where I see God working. He selects these shards of mine made clean by tears mixed with His blood. Places them into the design of my life.
How can He make something beautiful from something shattered?
Then I look at His hands, and I see it. Bruised. Battered. Broken.
Like me.
For me.
The Artist works-fragments of self fitting together in Him. A masterpiece in progress.
As I am.
A work of art that will culminate at life’s closing.
Beauty from ashes. A butterfly from a cocoon. A mosaic from the broken.
Stop.

This is beautiful. I’m so glad I came over from Lisa-Jo’s you write so beautifully.
I’ve been thinking a lot the past few weeks on how God uses our broken, our ashes, our pain to create something amazing – it’s truly the biggest miracle of them all.

Thanks so much for visiting. Yes, it is such a miracle what He can do with what most would walk away from.

Hi. Great post.
You asked how I create the sidebar on my blog? I blog with WordPress and use a premium theme “Watson”. Just went with it recently. I love the features it has, that sidebar being one of them. Watson is for showcasing writing.
Thanks, Jenn

Thanks, Jenn. I’ll have to see if there is a way to add something like that to my sidebar. ๐

I admit I edit a little sometimes and always go over five minutes, too. Lol ๐ Great post! I love the part about looking at His hands – so true, and so something we don’t think of often enough. I also really like the picture you chose for it. As I was reading some others I was picturing a mosaic ๐
