When I checked out the Fundanoodle website, I knew my daughter would enjoy reviewing I Can Do Math! Level III and Max & Alphie’s Adventures! Activity Book 3. And I was right! She loves them. So let me tell you about these adorable books for grades K-1st.
I Can Do Math! Level III covers counting, learning both numerals and number words from 0-30, telling time, learning patterns, recognizing sets, adding, and subtracting. The activities in the book include mazes, hidden pictures, dot to dots, coloring, drawing, tracing and writing. There are about 41 pages of math activities.
Max and Alphie’s Adventures! Activity Book 3 covers the alphabet, letter sounds, handwriting, vocabulary building, and numbers from 0-20. The activities in this tablet include word searches and scrambles, crossword puzzles, mazes, fill in the blanks, hidden pictures, drawing, and dot to dots. There are about 40 pages of educational activities.
Both books introduce children to Alphie, and his cute monkey friend, Max who both love math and learning. Plus, there are two pages of sticker rewards in the back of both books. How fun is that? There is a spot for a sticker reward at the bottom of each page which keeps the kids motivated.
Amber confiscated these tablets as soon as I had them out of the package. She grabbed her crayons, and took over the coffee table. Each type of activity has a couple of similar pages, so she only needed to ask me the occasional question about what to do. Mostly, she worked independently, and found the concepts easy to understand.
After she completed a few pages, she’d show me her work, make corrections as needed, and then she put her reward stickers on the pages.
Amber loved these two books. They held her attention and she spent long periods of time working through her books. Not once did I have to ask her to work in them. She really enjoyed the activities. Overall, I think it took her less than a week to complete them. She is at the upper grade range for these books, so younger children might need a little more help and could move a little slower through the books.
What did mama think? I think they are cute, educational, simple to use, and fun for the kids. I know Amber learned some new things, and cemented others. These are wonderful little books for early education.
