The A’Muse’ Me Monday link up and prompt can be found at the end of this post.
I joined a few book challenges this year, and one of them is the Men in Uniform Challenge. It seemed like a good excuse to read a series I had my eye on. Off to the store I went.
I love this book. The characters are wonderful, the story line believable, and the suspense hooked me right away. I couldn’t put it down. And the ending?! You’ll have to read it yourself to find out what happens. I hope you enjoy getting to know Evan Cooper and Monica Callahan as much as I did.
As soon as I finished book one in this series, I immediately headed to the store and bought book two. I couldn’t wait to read about Coop’s partner, Mark Sanders. Emily Lawson joins the cast of characters in an equally gripping story.
In the first book, we knew the enemy, but this book is different. Not only do we not know the shooter right away, but we aren’t sure who the target is either. I love trying to solve the mystery right along with the characters. And yes, this is another page-turner you won’t want to put down.
Before I finished book two, I ordered book three from Amazon. I knew I’d love it as much as the first two, and I did. We learned a little about Nick Bradley in the first two books. He meets Rachel Sutton under rather peculiar circumstances in book three. What a crazy, and fun read this one turned out to be. Not only couldn’t I put the book down, but I didn’t want to once I reached the end. I wanted to read more about all of these characters.
Irene Hannon weaves intriguing tales with a touch of romance that captures your attention from the beginning to the end. I’m new to this author, but am thrilled to find out she has another romantic suspense series. I will for sure be reading those, too.
To find out more about each of the books in this series, click on the photos, and head to Amazon where you can read about the books, and purchase them either on paperback or for your Kindle.

Muse:
n. a source of inspiration; a poet.
v. to reflect or ponder; to gaze thoughtfully.
Mondays are perfect for finding inspiration as writers, artists, musicians…creatives. And who doesn’t like to reflect, ponder, and muse about life, and all it encompasses? That’s what A ‘Muse’ Me Mondays are all about. It’s a place to link up your thoughts on writing, music, and creativity. Share something that has inspired you: a novel, a song, an art piece. You can link to reviews of books or music. Anything related to writing (or reading), music, and creativity is welcome.
I’ll add a prompt or ‘muse’ each week. If it inspires you in some way, feel free to come back later in the week. You can share in the comments, by linking to your related post, or on the Facebook page.
PROMPT: sunshine warmed her face.
Use it to spark a poem, a song, a scene in a novel, a painting…what comes to mind?
*This is my personal review of books I purchased. I was not compensated in any way.
