I wanted to post this earlier, but my connection has been on and off (more off than on) all day. I hope I can get this posted tonight!
About The Book
I am delighted to host Margaret McSweeney on a blog tour for her book, A Mother’s Heart Knows. This beautiful little book has a wonderful message and precious pictures in soft muted colors. A touching gift for a special mother in your life for Mother’s Day or any day.
One thing that impressed me is that all royalty proceeds from this book goes to WINGS (Women in Need Growing Stronger) and to a student missionary scholarship fund. WINGS is a non-profit organization that shelters women and children who are victims of domestic violence as well as offers transitional housing and programs. As a woman who was a victim of domestic abuse in my first marriage, this meant a lot to me.
You can purchase the book here.

Hi, My mom passed away 8 years ago, but when I think of her, I think of flowers! From the time I was a young girl, there were flowers of various types in our yard. Many people who drove or walked past our house, would stop and just admire them! She definitely had a green thumb. She had a garden of the old time Canna flowers and my friends and I would have a tea parties right in the middle of them! I can still smell the scent of Lilacs and Honeysuckle in the air…..Thanks, Cindi

I love that my mom has become one of my best friends. She’s found the perfect balance of realizing I’m an adult and have to live my life the way I see fit, but still “spoiling” me a little as her little girl 🙂 She doesn’t take it personally if we have other plans and can’t get together, but she makes sure when we DO get together, to send yummy leftovers home with us LOL.
She adores my girls, and spends hours playing their silly 5 yr old make-believe games!

I love my mom for so many reasons. She was a victim of domestic violence in her first marriage and she did everything in her power to overcome the lasting effects of that. She has since become a strong, independent woman. She is a great mom, one that I look to for advice and support. She is a wonderful friend to me. We have developed a very balanced relationship and I appreciate that. And ofcourse she is a terrific grandma, just ask her grandkids! I was blessed to have her as my mom.
