I thoroughly loved this book. Faye Bryant has a refreshing sense of humor. Reading Ramblings from the Shower is like chatting with a good friend over a cup of tea. You know how a conversation meanders from topic to topic? That’s an apt description for this book.
She blends real life stories with beautiful spiritual thoughts. I could relate to so many things, and found myself nodding often over something she wrote. I laughed. I flinched. I ended with a desire to read more.
Life throws hard things our way, but God is so faithful. You can see that truth woven through the book. Faye has known pain and peace, hurts and healing. I enjoyed getting to know her through her writing, and I think you will, too.
About her book in her own words:
“When reading through the Bible, I would ask questions of God, then head off to the shower. With all that thinking/praying time, I would then get out of the shower with an answer and saying, “Someone should write a book about that!”
I wrote a book about integrity, abuse, grief, putting people on pedestals and even how a little toy poodle can teach us about worship.
Weird, I know. I wrote these words like I would talk to the person who is sitting there reading. I simply shared the answers I got while seeking God. My hope to share with folks who need the answers, but haven’t ever looked for them.”
About the author:
Faye Bryant was born in Florida and lived there until age 25 when she moved to Tennessee and has lived there ever since. The first church she ever attended of her own free will was a fundamental church in Kissimmee. She did meet Christ there, but only as a Savior who wanted to save her, but also wanted to impose a ton of rules on her. Now she knows Him as the One who loves her with a crazy, humanly incomprehensible love! You can read more about her on her website.
You can also find her on Twitter and Facebook.
