Ready for the third mini-challenge in the “Summer is Flying By” Reading Challenge?
Remember, the mini-challenges are not a requirement to be eligible for the prize. All you need is a kick-off post linked up before the linky closes and a wrap-up post linked up (linky not posted yet for these) at the end before the deadline for the drawing.
Here is Mini-Challenge #3:
Today’s mini-challenge is all about choices: You can either read a book with your birth month in the title or you can read books that start with each letter of your birth month. You can even do both if you’d really like to stretch yourself. Don’t forget to ignore ‘The, A, and An’ at the beginning of the book titles. Since I was born in October, my challenge will look something like this:
October Sky
and/or
O – On Writing
C – (The) Chase
T – This Time I Dance
O –
B –
E –
R –
Again, this can be a book, eBook, children’s book (your kids would love that), fiction, non-fiction, or even a book you’ve read before. We think the mini-challenges are fun, and we hope you join in at least some of them. Remember, new mini-challenges come out each Friday. You might want to subscribe so you don’t miss any of the mini-challenges or the finale. The subscription box is over in the sidebar to the right at the top.
You can also blog along the way if you’d like, but please add a link to the comments, so we can come read about your progress and what books you’re reading. We can always use new book suggestions! If you blog about a specific mini-challenge, add a link to the comments for that mini-challenge’s post. For example, if you choose to blog about today’s challenge, come back and link in the comments on this here post. Clear as a book cover?

Oh man. I think I’d rather go with my daughter’s birthday – she’s July and I’m December. Not sure I want to read Christmas theme books. LOL I’ve got a couple titles in mind so we’ll see what I have time for. Posted an update on the challenge too.

October was a bit challenging, but I found a kids one I’m going to read to my daughter. :0 I’m working through the letters of October, too. I’ll have to come visit your update. 🙂

I’m having fun with it. I chose a kid’s book with October in the title, and I’m reading books with a title for each letter in October. 🙂
