My daughter was lamenting the fact that we aren’t currently doing any fun reading challenges. We searched for some current ones, but all we found were ones that started in January. Neither of us wanted to jump in halfway through. We didn’t fancy waiting until 2015 either. So we came up with our own. Introducing the “Summer’s Flying By” Reading Challenge!
Thank you Karen Blaha for the use of your photo.
Want the details? Of course you do…
When: August 1 – September 21, 2014
What: Read as many books as you can during the time frame given. You can read print books or eBooks; adult or children’s. I will say, children’s books are best read with a child snuggled up to you. ๐
Bonus: We will post a mini-challenge each Friday to add a little fun to the overall challenge. You’ll want to check back for those!
Prize: We will have a random drawing for eligible participants on September 26th for a $15 Amazon gift card – so you can buy more books of course.
Eligibility requirements: Write a kick-off post about the challenge and link it below. The link-up for the kick-off post will close on August 31st, so don’t procrastinate! At the end of the challenge, write a wrap-up post about how you did in the challenge. The wrap-up post needs to be linked up before the drawing on September 26th! The link up for the wrap-up posts will be available on September 22nd. You have to have BOTH posts linked up to be eligible.
I hope you join me for this challenge. I think it will be a fun way to enjoy the rest of summer’s lazy (or is that crazy?) days. Share this challenge with your friends because more is definitely merrier. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments!
Updated: Here’s a button if you want one for your blog post and/or sidebar:

Yes! I’m doing this! ๐ Thanks for the fun challenge. Also, I see you have The Restorer on your shelf. Have you read that series? The whole time I was reading it I kept thinking that you, Heather, and Chrysti would totally love it…it’s definitely a Silva Girls book!
