Thank you Karen Blaha for the use of your photo.
Are you ready for mini-challenge #5? If you need a reminder about the overall reading challenge, read The “Summer’s Flying By” Reading Challenge post.
Remember, the mini-challenges are not a requirement to be eligible for the prize. All you need is a kick-off post linked up before the linky closes and a wrap-up post linked up (linky not posted yet for these) at the end before the deadline for the drawing.
Now, on to Mini-Challenge #5:

Today’s mini-challenge gives you another choice: You can either read a book with a main character in it that shares your name and/or you can read a book that has a title starting with each letter of your first name. If you are a reading machine, you might even add a middle name or a last name or both for an even greater challenge. Don’t forget to ignore ‘The, A, and An’ at the beginning of the book titles. My challenge will look something like this:
Book with a character sharing my name: In Too Deep by Mary Connealy (I can’t believe I had one with my name in it! It’s not the most common name out there.)
A – Always First Class
U – Undercover Pursuit
D –
R –
A –
If I have time, I may come back and add a middle name, and maybe even my last name, but this is good enough for now.
Again, this can be a book, eBook, children’s book (your kids would love that), fiction, non-fiction, or even a book you’ve read before. Remember, new mini-challenges come out each Friday. You might want to subscribe so you don’t miss any of the mini-challenges or the finale. The subscription box is over in the sidebar to the right at the top.
You can also blog along the way if you’d like, but please add a link to the comments, so we can come read about your progress and what books you’re reading. We can always use new book suggestions! If you blog about a specific mini-challenge, add a link to the comments for that mini-challenge’s post. For example, if you choose to blog about today’s challenge, come back and link in the comments on this here post. Clear as a book cover?
I have really enjoyed reading your progress updates about the different reading challenges! I’ll be getting mine up this weekend.
